I just purchased a Canon Rebel T2i, I have been trying (for days now) to record video, and every time I attempt to, the camera will stop recording at any time it pleases. The videos I have taken vary between only 3-20 seconds long, because it keeps stopping. I don't understand why this is. I have an 8GB card, if that helps. Please help! I have a 7 week old that I would love to be able to record! :)

According to the manual you should be able to shoot about 12 minutes of video at a time. 4GB max. Are you storing the video on the flash card or is it on internal memory? Make sure its set for the card.

Srr page 135 of the manual for reference.

I am assuming the movies are storing to the card, they appear when I upload the rest of the photos. The indicator mentioned on pg. 135 does appear when I attempt to shoot the movies. Do you have a flash card you could recommend?

Mostly your real choice is how much you want to spend on a sd card.

Here is one you can look at that you might like. But it isn't cheap.

The same thing is happening to me. I was able to record for long periods, but I must have accidentally changed a setting and now it is only recording for 5-20 seconds. Any ideas what I might have activated?
