I read a romance book a couple of years ago, but I can't remember the author of title of the book. It's about an earls daughter who gambled their home away to a duke or an earl, I can't remember which, but her father died and she ran the estate by herself. The duke/earl planned to give the estate to his younger brother as an engagement gift. When he went to the estate to see to the repairs he met the girl and she became his mistress. I think he was also a spy, anyway he left and she became pregnant and the had agreed that if that happened she would send him a letter. She sent it but someone stole his mail. He came by the estate to check on things and figured out she was pregnant and they ended up married.
