I Am 24 With 2 Children I Have Always Had Odd Periods But I Am Now Slightly Concerned. My Last 2 Periods Have Been Late Which For Me Is Not Unusual But This Month My Period Started First Day Fine Second Day Fine Third Day Stopped Bleeding Forth Morning Started Bleeding Fifth Day Stopped Bleeding Fifth Night Statrted Bleeding I Am Wondering If Anyone Has Any Explanation For This As I Can't Understand What's Holding It Up There For Hours And Then Deciding To Let It Carry On I Have Had This Problem Before When I Was 16 But My Doctor Did Several Internal Examinations And Came Up With No Answers Which Has Put Me Off Going Back.

Hi, Kerry, I hope I can give you some insight into what is going on. First let me ask you not to capitalize the first letter of every word, it is a little hard to read. K?;)

Okay, you are 24 with 2 children. How old are your children?

This could be hormonal in nature as a woman's hormones do not reach a stable level until around the age of 28. It could also be stress induced. Are you under a higher level of stress lately compared to usual?

Let me say that the reason the doctor did not come up with any answers before could be because nothing was wrong. It could have been hormone levels and stress when you were 16 as well. Please don't be put off by this. Going to the doctor is very important for MANY reasons, which I am sure you are aware. If the doctor finds nothing, that is usually a good thing right?:p You would not want or expect him to find something wrong. At least I hope not.

When was your last PAP smear and yearly physical? If you have not had one recently you may want to make an appointment and ask that your hormone levels be checked while you are there.

I hope I helped.

I have a friend who has the same thing but the doctor just said it was cause she was so small and it was normals in a lot of smaller woman to get weird periods she sometimes go for 3-5 months without even getting one at all and sometimes she gets it for 1-2 weeks at a time but they said it was normal
