I just purchased LUX TX1500E thermostat to replace old CT87A Honeywell.
The Honeywell was wired as follows: green – G, White – RC, Yellow – Y & W and Red – was not label, but I'm assuming this is the 24V power.
I did wire the LUX TX1500E as it shown on the schematic for Heating and cooling systems with 4&5 wires.
I did the following: Green – G, Red – RC with a factory installed jumper to RH, Yellow – Y, and White – W.
The issue I'm having is when I turned to heat it turn only the heat pump without the compressor and the air is not hot. I tried the different schematics and same problem. I thought that the reversing valve is the problem, but I was wrong. Everything is working OK at the unit. I did install the old Honeywell thermostat back and the heat is back.
What wrong I'm doing. I'm running out of options.
Any thoughts?
