I got my tongue pierced 3 days ago and its really uncomfortable and frustrating. First off I can't eat solids and I'm very hungry can somff any suggestons for things I can eat till the swelling and pain go away? And also is a lot of saliva normal? Bad pain still? And I keep biting on my bottom lip and its making my teeth hurt is that normal and any idea on why I do that? Best ways to clean it? And how long until my mouth is normal again i.e. able to eat whatever I want no pain etc.

All the things you're experiencing is totally normal so don't worry.. the swelling should go down within about another 2/3 days. When I got my tongue pierced I mostly ate jelly/ice cream/ice pops.. soup was really soothing as well. Avoid sharp foods like crisps. If you're really hungry eat something with a lot of calories like mashed potato and gravy with really soft vegetables. You will get a lot of saliva and it will cause you to swallow a lot which may be uncomfortable, if you can, spitting it into a sink is quite useful and doesn't really cause discomfort. After each day you can try more foods and get your mouth used to having food in it and a tongue bar in it.. even when you can eat solid foods you might have to move the food around in your mouth with your finger every so often like to get it out of your teeth because your tongue will still be trying to adapt to moving around your mouth and in those little crevices, it's a bit disgusting but you got to do what you got to do! Hope this helps, good luck.

You should clean it out with mouth wash after every time you eat or drink anything! Hope it helps :)
