View Full Version : Can I file a stay of appeal to stop a district judge from forcing us to admit guilt

We have been fighting this .my wife is being charged with neglect.we have lost everything because of these peopl our home, no money left,the charges are false. I am supposed to take a sexual perpetraitors class and to complete the class I have to admit guilt and I am not willing to do that,if I do not complete the class I will be held in contampt and do 6 months in jail

Have you been convicted? If not, of course you can't be required to admit guilt.
Or you have and are appealing? Ditto. Seek a stay pending appeal.

No we have not been convicted just substantiated in family court and those are requirements for reunaficaition of the family,there have been no criminal charges brought against either of us.this has all taken place in family court

No we have not been convicted,these are the requirements of the reunaficaition process sunmitted by the social service worker.we have not been to criminal court,this judge is really on the dark side of the fence,he is blocking our appeal by telling the clerks what to do and we have tried 2 times to file a appeal and have yet to get it in the books

It is a ploy to get us to admit guilt we have doctor records,phsyc evaluation ,testimony from many friends and family.the social worker lied on the stand and our witness rebutled her statement and the judge acted like he never heard it in court.this fanily court system is a very bad system here and are only in it for the money not to protect the children
