Hi, I'm just wondering if I could still be pregnant given that
(1) I had a positive pregnancy test result on October 1. I went to my OB and I had transvaginal ultrasound. There was no gestational sac found. I had a slight period Oct.3, which lasted about 4-5 days.
(2) I tested again Oct 4, which resulted to a negative.
(3) I missed my period for November. By then, I'm feeling the signs. I don't know. It might be psychological. But I frequently urinate, I am always tired, I have lower back pains and head aches. I tested Nov 16, which again, is negative.
(4) It's now December 3, and I still haven't got my period. Just this morning, I vomited and felt queasy.
Could I still be pregnant given the negative pregnancy tests?

If your tests were from urine tests, I would go back to the doctor and ask about having a blood test done. Given what you explained, they may do another scan as well.

Hi DoulaLC! Yes, all of these tests are based on urine tests. My current work schedule does not permit me to visit a doctor. (not anytime in the next two weeks) :( I was just wondering which is more accurate, the signs of pregnancy OR the home pregnancy test? My friend says my tummy is getting bigger but still, I am not sure if I am indeed pregnant. I do not understand why my case is very contradicting. I'm 24 and this is my first pregnancy, if ever.

If the last test you took was November 16, I would try another one making sure you follow the directions exactly... especially in regard to the time frame for reading results.

In most cases, a positive is a positive when directions are followed. Sometimes, when a test is read after the time stated on that particular test, what appears to be a faint positive will show up. However, this would be inaccurate.

A test will usually be more accurate than symptoms, but some women do find urine tests take several weeks to show a positive.
