Okay, so I broke up with my girlfriend and I regret it said things I shouldn't have said and I've been trying so hard to make her forgive me... she said she still loves me but she has been really cold with me and I don't know what to do. I'm confused we still hang out and text and talk on the phone I've asked to forgive me in so many ways and she tells me that I really hurt her and it can't just go away I just want to know what to do

Things said, are Things remembered. Even if she forgave you and you got back together it might not be the way you remembered or the way you want it to be. It's possible you really burned a bridge on this one. The ball's in her court and its up to her if she wants to take you back. Just be as nice as you can without being overbearing- that can push her away. Good luck! Everything will work out for the best.

Just give her some time and space. And don't apologize all the time it makes you look needy... be nice to her and she will come back to you when she will be ready.. you can not force her... or use NC only if you want..

What led up to the break up, and name calling? Usually a cooling off period is what's needed after a heated battle, then calm conversation over the issue that's at the root of the problem, and if it can be resolved, then it will be.
But I have to tell you, it better be serious because berating a person by name calling and then ending things is just the kind of impulsive behavior that's hard to forgive or get over, and I'm sorry is seldom enough, so don't expect a quick fix without a lot of work. Communicate, like you should have done before you blew up.

The funny thing about girls is that they remember good things you said to them only quite well (unless it was super romantic) but bad things you said to them excellently. Which means, you once hurt her feelings, she's going to remember it for the rest of her life.
If I were her, the first thing I would want you to do, is to stop trying to apologize too desperately! It's extremely annoying and it's not going to help ease the pain, it will only remind her of it. Try to be normal, be nice to her. Leave her sweet messages, or even simple ones, like wish her a good day, how she's doing during the day etc... But again, don't be desperate.
It takes time to heal wounds, especially big one, so be patient. Do remember that during this intense time, don't make any stupid mistakes, think carefully before you do anything. Because she's very sensitive to any of your action and can be quite a hard judge.
