If you had a open case and it was closed (closed case) are you still on probation?

You are on probation till the term of the probation is over ( number of years) and/or the judge rules you are off.
Open and closed case normally refers to the police case, and once you are convicted they close it.

I completed the program that was needed and I paid all fines and fees, also showed that I am working and in school full time. I know that you can request to be taken off probation early, and I had a lawyer, so Im pretty sure he did that for me..?

Pretty sure isn't good enough if the state comes after you... You need to be ABSOLUTELY sure. Apparently, the only one who KNOWS is your lawyer, or the probation department... I'd call 'em - BOTH.

Technically the case is still "open" until you are terminated from probation as the case can be "reopened" at the time of your VOP hearing and you get sentenced back to jail or jail time or more probation and then your case is "closed" on the docket in the courthouse. Open and closed are two different things. The case is not technically closed until your probation or jail term is completed successfully.
