I bought a Kitten when she was 3 months old. She was potty trained and used her liter box well for about 4 months after I got her, until I moved in with my husband and his 13 year old cat. Now my cat misbehaves and pottys on everything. She's 9 months old now and I've tried everything I can think of to potty train her. I even make sure her liter box is clean. I have two separate liter boxes so they don't have to share but she still pottys on things ( mostly my blankets and carpets ) What should I do to potty train her?

Cats are normally clean that way, so there has to be something wrong with the location of the litter boxes. Not far enough apart is my guess. Cats don't need 'potty training' they do all of that from a very young age, as soon as they are weaned and introduced to kitten food. You can't rule out something internal as well, such as urinary tract infection which is prevalent in cats who don't get enough water, or are not introduced to water soon enough.

She's mad at you -- for moving her to a different house and for forcing her to live with two new mammals (and one is an old cat!) Cats HATE change!

How is she getting along with the other cat?
