All the other taps, hot and cold in the house work, inc the hot tap to the kitchen sink where the non functioning cold tap is/What could be the cause?

What type of faucet do u have? Manufacturer and model.

Any recent plumbing work done?

Hi Chuck for some bizarre reason the cold tap started working again late last evening think that the water pressure must have been low ( have freezing weather her hence upstars taps etc working.Thanks for your response don't know what a faucet.Mary
