I was trying to replace a twist off spout. As I was trying to get the spout off the copper tube was twisting and the spount won't come off. Short of cutting into the tile and cutting the copper tube is there any way to get the spout off and fix the tube?

Hi NTS...
At this point, I'd probably recommend you call in a plumber... unless you are real handy!? :)
If I was the plumber, I might try to gain access from behind the tub through an access panel, if possible, and see if I could cut the pipe and extend it to install a new spout. If that failed, I might try applying heat to the end of the spout... see if that helps me to loosen it using wrenches/pliers.
If that failed, I might even resort to cutting the top half of the spout, about half way down the spout and through the copper pipe to see what condition the pipe is in. If there is enough UNTWISTED pipe to cut and join a coupling and a new threaded male adapter then that is the way to go. Then install a new twist type tub spout and you should be all set.
If there is not enough pipe to extend then you will need to gain access through the wall (front or backside) and replace the entire pipe.
That's my thoughts...

A high dose of concentrated heat might help.Although removing surrounding
Tiles carefully and repairing the twisted mess one time isn't so bad.
If matching your tile is a problem remove tiles making a pattern (square,
Diamond, cross etc.pick a color in the room pref. neutral and accent your
Now custom shower with a matching colored tile.Trying to get close never
Works unless you have the same batch tile. This way you will know that
What's behind the wall is not going to bite you later on.
