Hi, Please help - I live in Texas. Being sued by Citibank (I had the original account with Sears) who is being represented by attorney with a PO Box address (think it's really a DC), anyway, I have already sent my "Intend to defend" letter and now the 50 days deadline to answer discovery is approaching. Question: Do I send ALL the discovery documents back with each question answered or can I sent them back with one "blanket answer"? Upon Mr. Yet's (on this forum) advice I will answer with "I cannot admit or deny alleged debt until you can produce the original contract with my signature in wet ink". Do I need to send copies to the court and citibank itself or just the attorney? Am I obligated to send them a formal request for proof (I guess this would be discovery) or will the above answer be sufficient i.e. will that be seen as a request? I have not heard a thing from them since I sent my intend to defend letter, is this unusual? I am trying to remain calm but because this is something I am not used to, it's kind of scary. Thanks
