My boyfriend purchased a vehicle and used my ssn and signed my name to purchase. I was unaware at the time. Then when I found out he was supposed to get it all straight at the dealership. Needless to say the car and loan is still in my name and his and he is not paying for it. I just found the bill of sale and can prove that I did not sign for the loan. What can I do to have my name removed from the loan and car. I have called to bank who financed to car and they say they will not remove my name from the loan. I have also dipsuted this claim on my credit report as fradulent. What can I do to get out of the car?

What can I do to get out of the car?Hello kc:
It's clear that your boyfriend was NOT you. Therefore, the dealership is a co-conspirator in the fraud. I'd go to the cops. This isn't civil. It's ID THEFT.

Yes, this is criminal, not only is the boyfriend ( can I assume ex boyfriend) guilty but the dealership has to be guilty of fraud also, since they knew it was not you signing it also.

You can have him charged for forgery and if you didn't sign it then you should be able to go where he got the car and talk to them and get it out of your name... if someone did that to me I would go to my local police department and file charges so it ouldnt ruin my credit
