What's the name of the 70's movie that a deadly moss grows in the woods and kills people when touched? One guy that worked in a greenhouse made a drink of it and lived but now everything he touches dies. Town doesn't know he accidentally killed his friend. As he is walking in the town a mother trips and drops her baby. He saves the child by catching it but immediately dies in his arms...

I'm looking for this too. Can you say anything more about it? Where did you see it? What year (roughly)? Was it a stand-alone film or part of an anthology?

I'm recalling that it was in the late 70's or early 80's - not sure if it was a drink made from the moss that transforms him or even if he worked in a greenhouse. Some people suggested it was another movie about a family that lived in the forest. I know its not a movie called Moss Man or something like that. The other part I remember is a woman walks with a boyfriend in the woods and he begins to rape her. As she is lying down, she spots the moss like thing on the tree and touches it killing the guy and herself at the same time. I think at the end of the movie, the whole town goes after him, chases him into the woods, and burns him down. Here's a forum people have been using for this movie 70's movie about moss like substance grows in forest and kills people who touch (http://www.badmovies.org/forum/index.php/topic,144935.0.html)
