Hi I am 32 year old mother of 3 small children. I stopped breast feeding 2 years ago. Never had this problem before. I started taking a low dose of levothyroxine for my low thyroid about a month ago. Last night I noticed light yellow milk coming out of my breasts. If I push on them, it still come out. Before this discovery, I had thought I felt something, but never checked until now. I asked a friend of mine who is also taking this same medication if this happened to her, and she said yes. But she never told her doctor. Didn't think the symptoms are related. Anyway I am waiting for my doctor to call me back. Meanwhile I would like answers or some guidance if this is normal. I haven't found anything in the side effects or Google.

No, this is not a side effect of Levothyroxine.

Is it possible you are pregnant?

I can't get pregnant. I had my tubes tide during the c section of my twins. Also my friend said this occurred with her too when starting levothyroxine. Pretty bizarre. I think it may be an un reported side effect

I'm 50yr guy, been on Levothyroxine for a year & a 1/2, had tender breasts and were swollen too, 2 months ago my DR. raised the dosage 50% & now they leak & I swear I'm now a B cup at least now, & thinking of getting a bra. I think she's onto something & Oh I work out every day & eat right, Oh & I'm not pregnant either, but I am growing hips too, this stuff is girl juice.
