A brand new system burnt out in the first few months--explanation given that the filter became clogged and caused this... loss of air flow caused cooling coil to freeze--caused more loss of air flow--this shut down the condensing unit--this then caused ice that built up on the coils to melt-flowing to bottom of unit (not into a drain pan) --water then picked up by the fan soaking the electroncis in the motor causing failure--

Sounds like such a great system should have a control feature that once it shuts down it SHOULD NOT re-start and bring back the melted ice into the system to blow it out--poorly designed??
