I have been fighting to find the monies for years. I received over 98,000.00 in two checks givien to my parents, I have found letters between my parents and attorney stating the money was to be placed into a trust account. There was never any account, and when I checked the attorney had been disbared for stealing from other clients. The letters also stated the attorney was to have the account number to the trust, no one can tell me anything. I did receive 1 additional check for 38,700.00 when I was 18 but my father had the bank put it into smaller cashiers checks with his name and my name on them, I did not sign the checks though the money all vanished. I have been fighting for over 16 yrs now, I have finally found a court docket number but still can't seem to get any info on where the money is, not to mention the total suit was 5 counts 1 million a piece, so my other question is , is there more money taken than what I have found papers on?

Hire a good attorney to reopen this matter for you as more than likely since you were a minor at the time it went through a Probate Judge and there had to be a lot of paperwork for the Judge to approve. It didn't just vanish. It's there somewhere and if the attorney already vanished other client's money more than likely he also did yours as well.

You can also go to the Probate Court and ask the Clerk to see the file. It's public information available to anyone. Go snoodle through the file and see what you can come up with, have the official court file copied and THEN retain an attorney as he will just charge you an arm and a leg for his secretary to go to the courthouse and copy the same file you did at 25 cents a page versus $2 a page (paying for her time to go there, etc).
