I have some questions regarding the cancellation of an order for child support. In 2008 I began receiving court ordered child support since I had gone on public assistance while pregnant. The child's father and I have been in a relationship since 2001 with no breaks.for a short time during 2007 I was on tanf. I was told because we did not live together, the state would have to institute an order for support and that there was no way around it. In January 2009 we got a place in Wyoming and stayed there for about a year. We moved from Wyoming to Montana in dec 2009. We currently reside in billings, mt. so, from jan 2009 to the current date we have lived together. We're not married, and I provide all the financial support for our family. Id like to know if we can have the order cancelled based on our circumstances.

I don't see why you wouldn't be able to. Write up an agreement stating that you and the child's biological father are now residing together and you would like the support order terminated; both of you need to sign it and then mail it into the courts.
