I've been with Geico for the last 10 years. Their claims service has been great and my rates have never been raised due to a claim even after filing a claim within a month of going with them.

How could you say a thing like that? Wash your mouth out before the powers that be descend upon you. It is the only place I know where you can bust a sitting President in the mouth and get away with it. That's not weird, it's bizzaire

Was this supposed to be news to us? Progressive is led by Soros' buddy Peter Lewis. Soros by the way (who is not happy with what he's getting for his mone (http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2010/11/17/george-soros-obama_n_785022.html)y), just held a meeting of the progressive billionaire minds (http://usactionnews.com/2010/11/soros-calls-huddle-of-leftist-billionaires/) to work on their agend. Must have been to counter that "secretive (http://www.nytimes.com/2010/10/20/us/politics/20koch.html?_r=2&ref=politics&pagewanted=all)" gathering the Koch's put together.
I won't do business with either but I do enjoy both company's commercials, especially the one with R. Lee Ermey.

Couldn't figure out what this was about. What a surprise that business people who prosper in a crony business /government environment wouid be 'progressive' (aka national/state socialists)!!
Jeff Immelt at GE is one also but that won't stop me from watching Sunday Night football.
Dollar for dollar I have gotten the best value from Geico .

Couldn't figure out what this was about.Hello tom:
It's not really about anything, other than how people think.
Like you, I buy because I find VALUE in my purchases. Others buy because of who might or might not profit from it.. I never understood that. I once took a series of courses from a very charismatic leader. He fell from grace, and lost a lot of his membership... I never understood the exodus. If the course was GOOD, then it was GOOD. It didn't matter to me what that guy did - just like it doesn't matter to me what that guy SONY does. I LIKE his products.
I just wondered IF conservatives would be pissed if they found out some of their money was going toward progressive causes...

I'm sure I have money invested in companies that don't always line up with my views, that's life. I don't always agree with my newspaper but I still take it, and like tom I don't boycott Sunday Night Football because of Immelt. I don't want to buy Lewis' insurance - but if I could make a buck off him I would.

I can't be so rigid .One example... I have enjoyed music and movies made by people I am so diametrially different from politically that if that was the determining factor then I would deny myself some fine artistic work.
But again I do draw the line on some items... Citgo is the state owned energy company of Venezuela . I will not patronize them... same with Lukoil from Russia because they are pretty much joined at the hip with Gazprom.

You old elitist, you. We're not elite, our city of 200,000 has 4 Supercenters and a Sam's Club. We do have a Dillards, though.

I believe Geico is owned by that wonderful Warren Buffet the gazillionaire. Wouldn't insure my car or home with them.

He's the guy who wants the rich to pay more income tax after he arranged to have his personal income from cap gains.
I got an easy answer for him and Gates and all the other billionaires who think they are undertaxed. Cut a check to the US government for what they think they should be taxed . I bet none of them will.
