All right I am 16 years old and I weight 275 and I'm 6'1. I just started lifting weights about two months ago, I'm still weak though. I want to lose 35 pounds and gain muscle. I do a lot of riding and some running. I been trying to cut the weight but I can not found a effective way. I want to do it over time, I doing this for myself.

Have patience, and what about your typical meals? Losing weight means cutting out fat and sugar, all those burgers and fries and Cokes have to go. Eating healthy vegetables and grains and lean protein will help all that weight lifting and running build muscle. As a teen this can be difficult because it means that whoever buys your food has to be willing to help. You can control what you choose at school lunch. Good luck.

I do try to eat healthier. I found it difficult to limit myself. I know I need to shrink my stomach

You don't necessarily have to go hungry to lose weight, you just need to eat the right kinds of foods. Cut out the fried, sugary, and processed foods and you'll be amazed.

Also remember that muscle weighs more than fat, so you could be losing fat and gaining muscle and not see a change on the scale.

Be patient - you'll start seeing the results soon.
