My face has been tanned for a very long time now.. face and arms.. (the area of my body covered with clothes is very fair.. ).. its like I have two tones.. my face and forearms is very dark and then my chest and biceps region is very fair.. how do I get rid of this tan?
I don't go out in the sun much.. but this tan doesn't leave me.. I have this tan for more than 4 years now.. I got tanned heavily when I was 17, (playing football a lot in the sun that year) , it did reduce a bit after that.. but its still very very dark..
Is it permanent damage? Or is it reversible? I was wondering if my skin cells on the face have got burnt of something because of the sun.. Possible?
Any idea on how I could get rid of it? It's a 4 year old tan that hasn't gone, I have tried different kinds of sunscreens all these years, but they usually don't help and just make me look oilier.. what do I do?

Something in your genetic make up has given you that skin tone, and yes I have it too, always tanned, but I don't mind it. I just get very dark in the summer without even laying out in the sun.

There isn't very much you can do, other then trying the skin lighteners and you can peruse them on the net and see what you can find that suits you.

Well.. my parents are pretty fair.. and I wasn't this dark as a child.. and its not my whole body.. its just my face and my forearms that are tanned.. so its very weird.. the rest of the body that is usually covered with clothes is still very fair..
