About 2 months ago I was arested for "harassing" my father by cussing at him... (I also had a small amount of marijuana on me)
Um.. somehow after being in jail for 3 days I managed to punch a window (half inch piece of plexieglass)
And it broke
The harsment charges have been droped
But now I have 3 years probation for the window I broke... and am to stay at a half way house until the people here feel astho I'm ready to leave... (and there saying this could take awhile)
Pluss I have a AOT case manager (NY states kendra's law)
In any case I want to move to another state... but I don't think its as simple as transfuring my probation to another location... because I was released to the halfway house... (and they kind of have say when I can go)

Im wondering if I just pick up and leave (to the other side of the country)...
Without the concent of the halfwayhouse (or probation because of the halfway house)
If my disability will start there...
And otherwise if my probation will fallow...
I know this is a tuff question
Thanks for your help

I know this is a tuff questionHello s:

This is NOT a tough question at all. If you leave, a warrant for your arrest will be issued, and it will last forever. You can begin your transfer NOW. Go read this (https://www.askmehelpdesk.com/criminal-law/how-transfer-probation-115783.html).

You are on probation. If you just pick up and leave the state without consent of the halfway house, your PO, or the courts, you won't only lose your disability benefits but will have a warrant out for your arrest.

Please don't compound your problems. You may not like the situation but stick to the game plan that has been laid out for you.
