I had it inserted after me 3rd son in March 2009. Last year about this time I was worried I was pregnant with all the usual symptoms. They eventually passed... but they are worse now with nausea to the point I cannot eat somedays and I have serious food aversions. I lost 10 lbs while dieting and exercising but then stopped losing. I am going to make an appt to have the iud removed and go back to the pill but I am just curious if anyone has actually gotten pregnant or are these just side effects? I have read a lot online about women with the same symptoms so I am thinking they are terrible side effects. I have even felt the flutters.

Yes, a colleague of mine is currently pregnant with the mirena. She had hers put in May of 2009.

I took a first response test about an hour ago and it quickly came out negative, but I have been looking online today & many women said even after a negative they found out they were indeed pregnant. I plan on making an appt to have mirena removed.
