I normally have a really heavy period and bad cramping. But this month I have had only very very light pink spotting and no cramping it came around the time of my normal period and lasted about 4 days. I have also been real tired and lazy lately and real moody and light back pains and heartburn. I took a pregnancy test today and it came back negative can I still be pregnant or is it something else or just normal??

Well, Rue84, the only true way to tell is are you naturally fat or preganant. What I would suggest is that you take the test once more just in case and then find if you have had it. Then reply and ask for Jessica17.
See you

Ok, here's my opinion. If you took a test after the spotting stopped and it said negative, chances are, you aren't pregnant. BUT just to be safe, I would go get a blood test. Once you take that blood test, the answer you get, is what you are. Its very rare for a blood test to be wrong. As far as your symptoms go, if you are wanting to be pregnant very badly, your mind could very likely be tricking your body into having these symptoms. Believe me, its easy to do. I tried for a year 4 my second pregnancy, and during that time I could have sworn that I was expereincing preggy symptoms every month for the first 8 months, BUT every time I would take an early response test, the test came back negative and I ended up very sad and upset over it. I finally decided that when it happened, it would happen, and 4 months later I got pregnant. You can jinx yourself by wanting it so badly. The stress of it actually is counterproductive for concepetion. SOOOO if you are wanting to be pregnant, just sit back and relax, and know that it takes a different amount of time for every woman to conceive. If these symptoms continue and you are concerned, have a visit with your health care provider. Best wishes and good luck
Unfortunately many of the rpemenstrual symptoms are the same as early pregnancy symptoms. If you bled and had a negative pregnancy test, chances are you are not. But I also want you to know that there are more false negatives with hpts than people know.
Now, to make sure you did the test right. Did you use first morning urine? If not, take it again first thing in the morning. Even though the package directions may say that you can take it at any time of the day the concentration of HCG (pregnancy hormone) is highest in the morning since you have been sleeping all night and it has had time to accumulate in your urine. Try that, then if it still comes out negative it may be time for a visit to your doctor.
