I have more student loan debit than most average student loan holder. I currently am holding a debit that most students with a doctorate degree would have acquired, but I unfortunately only have a bachelors degree. I am trying to find a job, any job. I have 2 sons at home and as of right now I am looking for anything that I can do around their schedule. Soon after I finished college I started looking for a career in a field of my degree. I have been unsuccessful for 3 years now. During that 3 years I have worked low paying jobs here and there, which during that time I was able to make small payments on my student loans. But due to my husband's job we were moved in a new country and employment has been as easy to find. I am now not able to pay on my student loans and they are starting to send the information over to collection agencies. My husband's income is not enough to cover our normal household expenses and our student loans (He also has high student loan debit) I was wondering if anyone has suggestion on how to start paying these student loans off in a more non-traditional form. I am hoping to get a job within the next month and will be able to return to making some of those payments, but with all the loans we owe working 3 jobs would not be enough to pay these loans off before it starts effecting my cosigner or my children. I have been told that there are millionaires out there that are looking for people in similar situation to give money to for tax right offs. I have also been told that student loans can be canceled for varies reasons. 1 reason I was told was due to economic hardship for the carriers. I have been dealing with depression since before I took some of these loans out and now realized that I was not in a state of mind to be borrowing in the 1st place. If anyone has any positive advice please, please, please, help me this is the number one factor as to why I cannot seem to get out of this depression. Its affecting my cosigners health (which is my grandmother) it is effecting me and not only my depression but also my overall health my asthma seems to be less controlled since all this has taken place. Please please someone help me.

Have you contacted the loan holder to ask if the debt repayment process can be postponed for a certain amount of time?

I have contacted them about this, and as of right now with all the new laws the most they can give me on time is 2 months. Even with a job I still will not be able to make normal payments.
