View Full Version : If I reduce 60 amperes in a day, how many kilowatts will I save in a day. (400 volts)

Basically I have a 10 Hp 3 phase motor and when I start it up it gets up to 30 amperes torque and then it runs constantly at 10 amperes. I have put an invertor on this motor and it gradually starts the motor so the ampere torque is no longer relevant. Thus every time I start it I save 20 amperes. I start this about 3 times a day, making it 60 amperes saving. How much will this saving be in kilowatt.

If single phase, 60 Amps times 400 volts equals 24000 watts, or 24 KW.

If three phase, 60 amps times 400 volts time 1.73 equals 41520 watts, or 41.25 KW.
