I am on probation for a non drug related offense. I have never been drug trested in the 3 years I have been on it (have 6 more years to go). My PO recently told me he was going to recommend me for call in's instead of having to go in every month. But, he set up an appointment for next week, to do an evaluation. Does that mean he is going to test me? I have smoked some weed and I really do not want to risk going in unprepared. Has anyone else heard of a call in evaluation? And what goes on?

It sounds like he is going to do an evaluation of all the requirements for a call in ( instead of in person)
Where or how did he mention a drug test ?

But he can at any time ask for a drug test, he can even call you or come by at any time to do a home inpsection and to do a drug test

He never mention a test. I went in for normal visit and he asked if I completed a D/A evaluation at the beginning of probation. I told him I did the evaluation, but they said I didn't have a problem. I had to take budget counseling instead. I am nervous though, because I don't understand why he couldn't do the evaluation then and there? Why is he making me come back a week later. I wondered if anyone else has heard of a call in evaluation? Mind you, I have been on non report before, and I never had to do an evaluation? Went in like normal and PO said you are now on non report... simple as that. Now I have a new PO and I am confused?

All the PO I know have a draw full of drug tests, so he can do them anytime he wanted.

But yes they can, so remember part of your probation was not to do illegal acts and not to break probation rules. So a dirty UA can make you violate your probation. I guess I just can't understand why someone that would have to go to prison for years for violating probation would do something easy to catch.
