switchissue

I have a ceiling fan with a light fixture that is connected to 3 separate wall switches. 1 is for the fan to be turned on and off, and then the other 2 are at entry doorways for the light to be turned on and off, I am looking to replace the ceiling fan with a regular light fixture, how do I disconnect the fan switch?

You apparently have a single pole switch for the fan and a double pole for the light(3way). Usually, at the fan motor, the black wire is the fan and the light is wired blue. Shut off all switches and drop the fan and light. You should have 4 wires in the ceiling box, black, red, white(s) and ground-or 2 black, white and ground. Turn on the switch that says on/off and use a tester to see if you have 120V between the white and one of the colored wires. The wire that has 120V is the fan lead. Turn off the switch, put a wire nut on the wire that tested hot, tape the nut on and push it back into the box. The other colored wire, the white and ground go to the new light.
