My chimney for the furnace is really in bad looking shape. It is also staining my shingles. It was crafted in 1969, it is some sort of wooden board material, it shreds, doesn't splinter. It is basically four pieces of whatever the stuff is stapled to a 2x4 framing system, with an 8 inch flue pipe inside that comes from the basement and the stainless steel cap.

Where can I find this type of wood? I have checked stores, gotten a few people to look at it. All 3 want to put a stucco chimney up. There must be some sort of material out there that I can replace this with. I doesn't need to be phony brick like what is there, in fact, I would rather is might be phony river stone or something else.

I put the picture up so you can see the chimney. Thanks for the help.

Luke
