I have renewed my lease for another year on April and had a security deposit worth two months rent. My family and I have come up on some hard times with my husband being out on disability since April and the leasing office has been well aware of our situation and was working with us on rent. Although many verbal agreements were made we were still hauled into court for non-paymet of rent and a judgement was made for 3400.00 and the security deposit is for 3200.00. Could we at least ask for 1 months worth o rent which would be half the security deposit twards the amount of the judgement since Pennsylvania law states that that money should have been returned @ the beginning of the second years lease?
