My boyfriend and I got into a fight recently and the cops were called. He has currently been serving probation with an 18 month suspended sentence for a previous matter in Connecticut. I hired a lawyer and tried to get the case dropped but the Massachusetts DA would not let it go. His lawyer ( 3 MONTHS out of law school ) allowed him to sign a guilty plea know about the things in CT. He also did not bring up the fact that the police report was incomplete, nor would he allow me to take the stand. CT issued a warrant for him and he was brought up on fugitive charges and they will be carting him down there to be in court Tuesday. What should I expect, can we get his jail time shortened, but most of all what can I do?

Almost nothing,
1. did he have permission to be living outside CT
2. did he notify the PO in CT as soon as he was charged, ( not after he was sentenced)
3. he had the choice to plead , guility or not, but basically you have no choice to "drop charges" the state does normally go ahead, since what you did was have remorse the next day, you wanted him arrested at the time most likely but had second thoughts the next day, this is so common they stopped allowing the abused women from dropping charges.

He will be going I will assume for a hearing to see if his probation will be revolked for this, Hiring him an attorney there for the hearing is about all you can do
