I have a toshiba laptop. It came with the recovery partition but now it doesn't have it because I formatted it. I have the recovery disks which I made while I had the recovery partition a long time ago. I have 2 - Recovery Media 1 and Recovery Media 2. When I tried to reformat my os by using the disks, it says successfully completed... etc and then says insert media 2/ recovery disk 2 and so I do and so it carrys on. It says something like... unpacking windows? % complete then it says... active x and then error because it failed! Could you help me fix this problem. I can provide you with the error message if you need it. By the way. Now I don't have a working computer or os! Please help I need it urgently.
god bless you and thank you verrry verrrry much wish you verry good luck in the future if you can solve my problem. Please though I need help! Thanks once again and thanks for taking the time to read/respond to this.

I've got over that problem after cleaning the disks, the cd drive tray... etc and I have managed to recover the computer. It says finished and then reboot. When I reboot, a screen comes up saying "setup is applying system settings" and I'm stuck at that screen. Ive had that screen for 2 hours or more so it seems like it's never going to go! What can I do?

BTW: Ive got the screenshot of the screen that I'm stuck at as an image file but how do I upload it here if you want to see?
