I have a 95 chevy truck it has a 305 engine . It has been running great and the other day I ran it low on gas and stopped put gas in it and it wouldn't crank. It would turn over but that's all, It set a few min. and then I turned it over and padded the gas peddle real fast and it started and has been running fine since ,until yesterday and I went to crank it and it started and ran for about 10 seconds then died . The rpm gauge stayed at 2000 and then just fell slow to zero and this was after the truck died. It isn't getting any gas to carb. The carb has fuel injecters on it but when I turn the key just to acc. You can't hear the fuel pump .could it be the pump or maybe the fuel pump relay?

Perform tests in the link below:

I'd focus on the fuel pump fuse and fuel pump relay. Most modern-day fuel pumps are very reliable.

Letting your gas tank get low is a good way to stir up deposits sitting on the bottom, so you probably have a clog somewhere. Just speaking as a non-mechanic daughter of a car dealer.

That's a fine lot of work
