Sir, my query on ceiling fans. I am resident of india. I have seen 99.9% ceiling fans are rotating anticlockwise when seen from the side from where we get breeze. However, all table fans rotates clock wise... why? Please reply.

Good morning, welcome to the forum.

Here in the U.S.A. almost all of the fans that I know of are bi-directional. The direction of rotation of the fan is switch controlled.
When you want to move the air up, I believe the rotation is counter-clockwise. To move the air down, the rotation is clockwise.

Okay, the direction of the fan's rotation is not as important as how the air is moved. The effect the fan has is caused by the pitch of the blades.
Here in the U.S.A. the normal terms are "Forward" , is commonly used for summer because the air downward and the air movement cools you. "Reverse" is used in the winter to pull the upward and mix it with warmer air.
