Hi there! I am a single mom of a beautiful 5 month old little girl and recently been having some hard times trying to be everything to everyone. I was wondering if there are really helpful websites out there that you guys have used or belong to. I am not on WIC even though I am in the military.. (They count the money that the Army gives us for housing so I make about 47 dollars too much.) :(

I use the child care on base, so that is a cheaper rate, but anything that is out there for us would help me greatly. Just seeing that there are other people out there who have a hard time dealing with all the stress would make it better.

Thank you much!:o

I'm a single mom in the USAF... so I know how hard it is. I got denied wic too, which is just total crap-and not even receiving any kind of child support... I've been looking for other programs too, but there just doesn't seem to be much that I can qualify for because I make too much money.
I've checked all kinds of sites, and boards... and I find it hard to find people dealing with my same situation. All the single military mom boards and sites I've found seem to be mainly for spouses. It's just not the same thing. It gets hard-don't I know it, but what works for me is just seeking out as many new moms as I can and just talking about whatever. I wish they had a program on base aimed towards single military parents, but I guess that just hasn't come around yet. But if you ever feel like talking... I'll be around

Im not in the military or anything but Im a single mom also. My parents let me move in with them cause I couldn't make it on my own. My son is 20 months old and after 2 years of looking I finally found a job.
