So Im fixing to move to Pennsylvania and I am from Texas, I have a state jail felony charge for procession of a controlled substance under a gram, If I was to get a job up there and they ran my background check would my felony from Texas show up in Pennsylvania? As of, right now, I am running out of option to seek employment in Texas.

Hello D:

A background check done in Pa. is going to show the same stuff one done in Texas will.

I'm in HR -- it depends upon the source of the background check. Some companies use nation-wide services which pull the data from all of the states and other sources. Some companies might use a state agency.

If you do not put it on your application, hoping to ride it out, you will likely be fired on the spot once it's discovered. (My company has fired people for falsifying employment applications with regard to a conviction.)

Well not sure where Texan gets his info, but no, a criminal background search shows up all convictions in any state.
