If I am supposed to start paying child support in December for my 8 month old son, if I sign my rights over will I still have to pay child support?

As far as I know, your parental rights have nothing to do with child support. More than likely, if you give up your rights, you will still have to pay child support.

If you are the father of the child, why would you not want to provide for your child?

Is it the child's fault that you got the mother pregnant? Why would you want to abandon your child or deny your parents their grandchild?

Sign your rights over to WHOM?

Even if some court allowed you to sign over rights, without a stepparent to adopt, you're STILL going to be paying child support.

And that's as it SHOULD be. Taxpayers shouldn't support YOUR kid.

If you don't want to pay child support (for future children), then don't have sex.
