Why has my pug, 5 monhs old staring pooping in his kennel at night?

Now that he has gotten older, he thinks he is calling the shots, and if he recognized you as the alpha and picked up on the authority he wouldn't be doing it ! No, just sort of kidding pine, but that is part of it. He is probably doing it for attention, doesn't like being separated from you at night now because he has bonded. So, how else can he tell you he is not happy with the sleeping arrangements.

My dogs have always slept with me, but they know the rules. Out to pee and everything else and then bed for the whole night and we have all worked that way for the longest time. Yes, even a very large 5 months old doggie at one time learned the rules, but she was happy just being with me all night, so would do just about anything I asked of her.

You need to make sure that you walk your puppy until he poos before putting him in his kennel at night. If you already make sure that he poos before going in, then you are simply overfeeding him and/or feeding him too late in the day.
