I'm 15 and I'm dating a guy who's 25. We're not having sex and my parents approve of the relationship (my mom was the one to hook us up). Is this illegal? I don't think it is, but I don't want him to go to jail.

Dating would be find, although you really should be questioning what a 25 year old has in common with a 15 year old CHILD!

There are no "dating" laws, there are laws on having sex.
Of course I would worry about a parent that would allow a child date a grown man.

You mother is okay with this? Does she know his age? Are you being honest with her?
You're a child, he's an adult. What could you two possibly have in common?
Any man that finds a child attractive is a man that I'd steer clear of.
Go find someone your own age and steer clear of the pedophiles.

My mom knows his age, considering she was the one to get us to go out. We honestly have a lot of things in common despite what other people might think. The problem with finding someone my own age is they are extremely immature, not something I want.

You say I'm a child but if I was 16 I would be considered a young adult. We're not having sex, and my mom and stepdad are 10 years apart just like me and him. They don't see a problem with it. I was just wondering if it was legal or not.

We have a lot of things in common, as I stated to another person. We don't see the age difference, probably because I'm more mature then most 20 year olds. I've been with him for a while and I love him a great deal. I was just asking.

Thank-you everyone who answered. You might be wondering a lot of things, but your answers is all I wanted not your approval of my relationship.

Since your mom introduced you, why not just stay friends?
There's no reason to rush a relationship at this point. Once you turn 18, you won't need so much approval, then you can consider dating if you still have feelings for each other. Until then, just be friends and enjoy getting to know each better.
