I have a frigidaire, model # GLER331AS2. The felt ring was coming off the inside, so I pushed it back in and then the dryer was making a squeeking noise when it ran. Shortly into the cycel it stopped turning. The belt is fine, but when I try to start it, it just hums and then stops. I cannot turn the drum manually either. Can anyone help me with this? Most probably it is the drum bearings at the rear of the drum. You will need to take the belt off the motor first, then open up the top of the dryer and flip it back or remove it altogether. Then you can lift the drum out and get to the wheels/bearings. The wheels are replaced with the bearing... there are usually 2 wheels which the drum hangs on.
