Well, you typed the wrong compound... =/
CaCO_3 \rightarrow CaO + CO_2
Calcium carbonate is CaCO3 and carbon dioxide is CO2. Capital letters and small letters are important in chemistry when it comes to symbols.
1. Check that your equation is balanced.
2. Work out the mole ratio between the number of moles of CaO produced and the number of moles of CO2 produced.
3. Find how many moles of CaO there are in 500 g of CaO.
4. Hence, work out the number of moles of CO2, using your answer to 2. and 3.
