I would like to change my voting status from republican to democratic what are the qualifications?

Why do you need to... unless you live in a state with a closed primary.

On a regualr election you can vote for whichever party you want.

It depends upon where you live. In MA all I have to do is go down to the Clerks Office and tell them.

Try where you register to vote in your city/town.

I live in cocoa,fl.and we have a closed primary.thank you very much.
