I'd like to know how to replace the intake monifold gasket on my 2001 nissan altima, I've heard someone saying that one doesn't need to take the head out but I've heard people saying that you do, and I know this is two pieces, so I'd like to know if I have to take out in two pieces or if it has to be in one piece?
If you know about it please let me know.
Thanks.

You do not have to remove the head to replace an Intake Manifold Gasket. What is wrong with the car and which motor does it have in it?

Hi! Thanks for answering.

My car has the 2.4 engine and when I'm stopped in traffic it is vibrating a lot and the idle goes very low, to stop the vibration I have to put it in neutral and still it doesn't sound even, so I've been doing a lot of research and meny people have the same problem with the nissan altima and this is a leak on the intake monifold, and I alredy changed the spark plugs wires I checked the rotor and the distributor cap and they look new, so I just think that it is the intake monifold gasket.

That's big job to tackle based on speculation.
I'd recommend you seek a second opinion. You could find yourself saving a lot of time.
Seriously...
