I want to ask dr zakir naik. If it is compulsory for a woman to have sexual intercourse after her nikah or is it okay for her to do whenever she thinks is the right time. As many people do nikkah on phone and have sex after 1-2 year time.
Someone told me nikkah is no longer valid unless and until you have done sex after getting nikkah done in the first few days

After reading up on this, I have to ask how old you are. I would also consult your Imam about this. I think you would get a better answer.

As I said, talk to your Imam for specific actions.

As far as I can tell there is no requirement that you need to consummate the marriage within a specific time frame or the marriage is annulled. I am no expert in this but I believe that your marriage is valid until you divorce regardless of when you have sex.

Please talk to your Imam. He will have a better answer than me.

What you have heard is wrong.

There is no such a rule in Islam that- if a person does not have intercourse with his or her partner within a specific period after marriage, then the marriage is invalid.
