The blower motor has gone out again and as I remove the generic motor there apears to be a wire missing to the capacitor. The diagram shows one brown and one orange from the motor to the capacitor, then one orange coming from the transformer to the same side of the capacitor as the orange from the motor (this is the missing wire.) There are four other wires a blue, black, red, and a yellow but these are used for the blower speed setting (its a 1/3 hp 4 speed motor the new motor being installed is an ao smith oe motor) to the relay and the only two used are the black high speed and red low speed for the cool down after heating. The generic motor had the yellow wire attached to the transformer which might explain why it burned up in three months, needless to say the local company that installed it refuses to replace it under warranty. My question is, Is it correct that there be a orange load wire coming from the transformer to the blower run capacitor?

Yeah that sounded really novice. My question is, Is it normal to wire the capacitor up in the common circuit as I tried to explain by my previous ramblings
