I am very sorry to hear about your miscarriage. I'm not exactly sure what you are asking, but I will go out on a limb and say that you are wondering if this is normal? No. Not really. Common? Yes.
Usually when there is a stop in menstrual cycles, this means there is a lack of estrogen being generated in the body. Estrogen is what jump-starts the release of the egg and the shedding of the lining of the uterus. When there is too little estrogen, the lining does not shed. Instead, it continues to become thicker and thicker inside the walls of the uterus. This abundance of tissue can cause bleeding, and the fact that what you are seeing is brown indicates that the blood is old. Fresh blood would be red and filled with oxygen. If this is the case, your doctor might recommend you start taking the pill in order to reset your clock. Other medications include Metformin and Prometrium. Both are used to help your body regulate itself.
Other causes of the spotting brown blood might be polyps in the uterus, which are usually benign, but she be removed as they can put you at higher risk for uterine cancer. There is a possibility of an STD. Most commonly Chlamydia causes intermittent bleeding. You should have your doctor perform a sonogram to see if there are cysts of the ovaries as well. It is unsafe for a woman not to have a period at least every 3 months, so I would see a doctor right away. Good luck!
