I recently leased a very old building and noticed that the kitchen sink won't drain. I tried draino and removed the pipes to see if there was anything blocking the water flow. The water does drain but it takes several hours. I had tried replacing the pipes to see if it would that was the problem. It seems to drain quicker but it's still a problem. Please let me know what I can do or what parts are needed to make this work correctly. Tomorrow I'll be able to take actual pictures of it to provide if needed. Thank you

Hey Aliaa,
Sounds like you'll find your clog in the horizontal drain line in the wall.
The line will have to be snaked.
Remove the "
J" bend from the trap. CAREFUL! Watch your eyes. Draino contains lye.
Send your snake up into the wall, (see image) You will run into a bend about 8 inches in but once past that you only have five more feet to go. Flush with a tub of hot water. Good luck, Tom
