I purchased the above referenced Programmable tstat to replace a different brand. My system is pretty simple, just a hot water heater for a radiant floor, no cooling or fans. I thought it would be straightforward- just connect red to red, white to white, and jumper if need be. I can't however, get it to work correctly. I suspect I am not jumping the right terminals together, but the user manual for the Honeywell is not real user friendly. See the attached diagram for my old tstat- which was working fine. Hopefully that will shed enough light on it for someone to help me with the proper wiring for the Honeywell. Any help is much appreciated.

Thanks

Red to r
White to w
Did you do the installer setup correctly

That is the setup I tried first - seemed obvious but nothing came on. So then I tried jumping the r and c terminals, because the old tstat had a jumper between the r and the rc terminals. That didn't work either. I then jumped the white to the c terminal, and the tstat turned on, however every time it called for heat it would click off for a couple of seconds and turn back on. So, something is apparently backwards or incorrect.

If you jumped form r to c you may have burt up a transformer or a fuse
