How do I connect cpvc pipe to pb tubing in my mobile home?
I was not aware that there was a lawsuit until we recently have plumbing problems. Is it too late to file with the lawsuit. Will homeowners insurance cover the damage?

You purchase a PB male threaded adapter, (see image) and a CPVC female threaded adapter.
I can't help with the lawsuit but if you have damage your homeowners should pick up the cost of repair. Ceck with your agent. Good luck, Tom

It was a long time ago (mid 70s) so don't know about lawsuits now.
Just remember however that PB(Polybutylene) is the devil. The plumbing industry manufacturers never figured out how to create a bonding cement for PB, thus the origin of PB's demise. PB can barely connect to PB, so don't try to figure out how to connect PVC to it. PB will also become brittle in the pressence of clorine. Sooooooo your best bet is to get rid of it.
PVC is a marvelous material. Easy to work with, and self bonds like weled steel. Use PVC exclusively, and put that PB stuff in the trash.
P.S. Polybutylene used compression connectors for connections, which would fail miserably. It had excellent smoothness properties (low surface roughness factor) but somehow that property prevented good secure connections and/or chemical bonding.
